Favorite Team Icons - RealGM

Post#1 » by durden_tyler » Wed Apr 2, 2014 6:54 am

First off, it's long time coming should have done it years ago but hey better late than never! And yes, it's cool.

My question is can we only select one?

What happens to player fans like me? i am supporting multiple teams! ;)

(Chose the Grizz for now because that's the team i was rooting for when i joined RealGM way back)

The real question is:

When will we get to select a favorite soccer team?

Soccer is for sissies so it's ok to leave them off.

Ok i take it back. Sissies was apparently too strong a word for soccer fanboys (i'd settle with calling it a boring sport). Now let's go back to basketball :)

Mods? Multiple teams icons, is it possible?

Supporting multiple teams and being a player fan is what's for sissies, chief. Pick one team, run the risk of having to cheer for them during a 20-win season, it'll put hair on your chest and face, base in your voice, and cold steel in your heart.

It would be funny if we could select players and their heads would appear next to our avatars

Bobcats fan here. Can confirm. Grew chest hair and a beard sometime between the ages of 11 and 21. Bobcats have been a 20-30 win team since I was 11. Coincidence? I think not.

Not from the US so couldn't care less about location. So yeah, we player fans look first for the best player we like. But that doesn't mean we don't stick with them.

It's the same thought really. As with the case of cheering for Jason Williams.

i picked that one player from '99, run the risk of having to cheer for him during the ups-and-downs (with the lowly Memphis Grizzlies then), it put hair on the chest and face, base in the voice and cold steel in the heart-- until he won a championship with Miami.

Again, same same dedication as you guys. It's just that we can't find affiliation to a particular team because we love the player/player style more.

We've added soccer icons and updated the NHL and NFL icons. We won't be adding player icons or college icons at the moment. We can't allow multiple teams to be selected, but could revisit that in future upgrades.
