Re: Forum Changes 2.0
Is it just me or does anyone else feel like the servers have been going down a lot more often ever since the forum changes?

Re: Forum Changes 2.0
RealGM had a problem before with double-posting messages. Now it seems to do it every time I try to re-submit an edited reply.

Re: Forum Changes 2.0
Are And1 notifications ever coming back or are they back and I just don't know about them?

The servers have been going down multiple times recently and the site is also slow a lot of the times. I hope something is done to fix that and also any estimate on when the And1 notifications will be back?

We are looking to bring someone in to help with the forums, most importantly the And1 notifications. The forums were slow yesterday as we were developing a new search system that we are hoping to implement after the trade deadline.

One of the main reasons i like and1 notifications is that it often brings me back to a discussion that's started up again.

I decided to cut and paste from another thread I posted this in...
And while I'm online here... kinda OT and not really for this thread, but is anybody noticing how slow and inconsistent the site has been since the graphic changes.. Especially during games and bit NBA nights.. Also, when you put a link in a post and edit the post, you're link gets corrupted and no longer works.. Also, we no longer get notified of who and 1's posts.. Just a lot of performance issues with the RGM site lately. Hope we get this worked out soon.

Re: Forum Changes 2.0
I hate the mobile set up for the website. Tried to be patient with it but it's annoying as hell. I've been here for years and many times I check RealGM with my phone. The new format makes me have to scroll down to the bottom of the page all the time cause of all these useless forum tabs for places no one ever really goes. Why not just use the old format. I don't like having to scroll down alot every single damn page cause of all these forum tabs

Forget the and-1 notification, can something be done so that I don't get notified when someone who replied to my post gets quoted?
For example, I bet PauloeWol gets a notification saying that I quoted him right now even though I'm not even responding to him.

Re: Forum Changes 2.0
Can we get rid of the #start_here now appearing at the end of thread urls? When I am refreshing a game thread (or the like), I prefer to start where I left off, not at the top of the page.

Re: Forum Changes 2.0
I've noticed over the past week or so that the "Users currently browsing this forum:" feature has been disabled.
Just wondering if this is a permanent thing or just a byproduct of some maintenance like with the and1 notifications. I always thought this was a cool feature, especially if I'm on the Celts board at 3AM and wanna know if anyone else is on there with me.

So when can we expect and1 notifications to be reactivated?

Were working on the links problem.
We hope to bring back The Users browsing feature and the AND 1 notifications at a later date but there is no timetable at this time.

I'm begging you please put tapatalk notifications back on. I enjoy my phone ringing/vibrating when someone quotes me. Been waiting for a fix for months now!

Re: Forum Changes 2.0
This idea is straight from kanyetothe.com
But whats great over there is that there is an unread posts prompt when you are viewing a thread. For example, you are reading the last page of a thread and some poster makes a comment in that thread. An unread posts message will appear that you are able to click and it lets you view unread posts without pressing the refresh button to see if there are new posts.
Also, when you are done reading a thread and close your browser, and come back a few hours later. Kanyetothe allows you to press "unread" beside the thread title, which then directly sends you to the page and post that you last saw before closing your browser so that you can start viewing all the new posts much quicker.
Not sure if this can be implemented here but just wanted to share a great feature.

Re: Forum Changes 2.0
I'll probably be starting a Things Users Want Changed/Suggestions Thread sometime this week.
The good news is we are working on forum fixes as AND 1 is back and The Log Out Issue is closer to being resolved.
