Got the recommendation to download Brave in the help section of this site, and have used it since. It is awesome.

Ads pay for the site. When they become too intrusive, people either use ad blockers or straight up leave, neither of which is good for RealGM. Board moderators know this, but the advertising platform used is not their call.

Firefox Focus. (not Firefox but Firefox Focus). Kills all ads and everything else extraneous. Everything loads fast and light. Erases everything once you kill it. Absolutely no problems with it.

I only use the app. The website is a freaking joke. It's horrible!

You cannot And1 from the app and you cannot see polls. It's worth the loss of those things to have functionality.

YEa can barely type and get redirected to ads constantly.
I started browsing Reddit NBA forum because of how bad this site has been.

Hopefully it gets fixed because I used to love this place.

Now I barely come here.

I use Ghostery browser just for RealGM. It shows me like 20+ ads that it blocks from this site and it’s so satisfying.

Ads are one thing. But the whole site being laggy and occasionally redirecting you to a random spam website is another.

Yup. I used to visit this site from my phone browser during lunch breaks at work. No longer. My phone battery easily lasts me a day with moderate usage. When I browse realGM I have to charge my phone before leaving work. No good.

I used to work in digital marketing and I’m pretty sure that the realgms websites web developer/lead programmer has the ability to stop this particular type of ad from showing up.

They can’t stop all ads (nor they should), but I remember I used to be able to block ad spammers out of the shared affiliate network.

At the very last they can flag and report the sponsored advertisers of this activity as it’s all logged and tracked. The perpetuators should eventually work themselves out and we will have a great mobile experience once again!

Yeah it's really bad without an ad blocker and the app stopped working a long time ago. Using Chrome, I often get floating ads that can't even be closed without reloading the page or going back. I have a really hard time supporting businesses that can't even manage a fully functioning website in 2018. I'd rather just not use Realgm on my phone than go through the hassle of changing my mobile browser.

It's a known issue. There are threads about it in the site improvement section.

i thought that was just my phone. ive been typing in my search bar and pasting. Should have given me a clue it wasnt my phone

vbulletin is the format I see on other message board sites and its never been a problem. Not sure why it can't be implemented here.

probably the worst site i've ever used (mobile) due to the lag i experience when i type comments. took me 5 mns to write this one
