Linking to a thread breaks when you "Preview" before posting

As you can see above, when I used the Preview function in the second post it removed the link and turned it into just text.

That is, as I understood correctly, you do not need to click the preview?

When you edit a post, you have to re-do the link.
i do believe this is the issue.
