Seriously, 30 days?

I've lurked RealGM for a long time. Finally got around to making an account, only to find that I'm muted from making posts for 30 days.

I want to participate in the discussion. I understand the thinking behind a temporary mute, but 30 days seems like overkill. It's so frustrating. A 10 day mute would probably be sufficient to discourage troll.

I've been waiting for almost a month now :banghead:

I believe that is only for a few sections like the general board.

But I agree with the OP. I think lowering it to 15 or 10 should be good. Otherwise new posters might just go to places like Reddit

I came here to escape Reddit. There's no thoughtful discussion to be had there.

Members complain about the quality of discussion on RealGM, but truth is it's leagues better than anything sports subreddits have to offer.

Three more days. Just three more days till I can post.

It's to prevent Banned users from returning and posting on The Forum.

The General NBA Board has many different fanbases and we prefer Users post o other RealGM Forums first to get adjusted to our rules as our Forums are Moderated unlike other ones.

Are you now able to post? :D
