Tagging or "@ing" people?

Post#1 » by Cabbage bulls » Sun Mar 28, 2021 1:18 am

Is this possible on this platform? If you get tagged, you'll get a notification just like a normal reply to a post of yours. I belong to another forum that has it, and it is a really cool feature. Would be great here IMO.

Quoting users works similarly.

If I put in a quote with an empty space in it:
1. click the quote button
2. inside the first square brackets that say "quote", add an "=" the user you want to tag in quotation marks.
[ quote="Cabbage bulls"] [/quote ]
take away the spaces I put in and it should look like this
3. Make sure to leave an empty space between the two sets of brackets, otherwise, the system registers the quote as being empty.

Definitely not a simple as tagging, and you need to get the users name right (it doesn't appear as a dropdown menu or anything modern like that). It's an old school site, but you can primitively tag people.
