Forum Upgrade + Donations?

RealGM is the best sports forum in my mind. However, it's obvious that it is a bit dated. When I go to other sports forums (local Chicago ones), they have much better features and run more smoothly. The ability to tag people and give different forms of "likes". I think upgrading the forum would go a long way towards improving the quality of this place, attracting users and keeping them. It's tough for forums to compete with reddit now a days (even though it sucks in my mind).

I've seen other forms that accept donations and actually get a lot of donations. I think if this place was upgraded, you could legitimately get donations. I would donate.

I have examples of modern forums if any higher ups were interested. Thoughts?

I would love a new forum UI experience. The one on overclockers.net is excellent. You can and1 people, and it allows you to enter all sorts of media.
