Incredibly irritating "Error beep" ad

Post#1 » by Alfred » Fri Feb 1, 2008 8:37 pm

I have heard from a couple of other posters that they are also getting an incredibly infuriating ad on RealGM that makes the windows error message sound every 6 seconds or so. It has flashing type that says "YOU ARE THE 999,999TH VISITOR: CONGRATULATIONS YOU WON!!!!!"

I don't know what can be done about it, but it's really, really annoying.

P.S. You don't have to inform me about Firefox. I know about Firefox.

If you have firefox just type in addons in your browser and it should take you to a page where you can download ad block plus and you will never see another ad again.

IIIIITTTT'S BAAAAAACK!!! The ad is back, except this time it does a cricket chirp instead of the error message.

Do any people with the actual power to do anything about it read this? I haven't seen any moderator post anything about fixing this.
