Ah. I guess only mods can check them then at the moment. Seems kind of counter-intuitive though.

Yea i can't pm either..btw authorised s/b "authorized" (unless this is a global forum in which ppl use the former)

well before, we can pm mods but as i can see now, we cant.
only mods/admins can pm back - I guess

The private message system is almost back to normal. Users should now be able to at least read private messages but they still cannot reply or send private messages. We hope to figure out a solution sometime after the draft.
