Problem with post text box

Half of the threads I go in to read have the posts running on past the right-hand-margin of the post text box, so I am missing half the post. It's not the case in all forums or all threads, but a good number of them.
Has this been mentioned previously?

A screenshot and some information on your Web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc) and its version (Help | About) I'm sure would be helpful to see the problem and allow folks to reproduce it. Also a specific thread link that it happens on may show the reason to help diagnose. For example, if it includes a long image.

Go to page Phnx Suns forum
Suns draft 'stickied' topic
page 52
this is a problem that is crippling your site. You will need to fix it for my continuation as a poster

I also have the same problem! I'm not sure it is completely restricted to quotes either.
Thanks,

I'm having this same problem ever since the new format.
I can't read whole posts. Will this be fixed?

I'm also a user having this problem. The original poster described the situation just fine. It's almost as if the text area is missing a newline feed when it reaches the right side of the margin and just continues off the page where you miss a good deal of information. I'm using standard Windows XP and IE 7. It also is a random thing... for instance I just tried to go back into a thread which was having this problem (which led me to start this post) and it now seems to be fine again. 5 minutes before it was running off the page, now its not. So its an odd bug but it definately exists.

Another note (this bug is currently happening in this thread as I type this, for me at least) after I saw this bug which started happening a few minutes ago... I loaded the same URL in firefox and the margins looked just fine in firefox while it was running off the screen in IE 7. So I'm assuming this is a browser related bug.

Yeah, I'm running ie on XP Pro and I can get it to go away rarely upon a refresh.
I actually also get this bug on the thread list sometimes.
Please fix this, it makes it impossible to read threads. Scrolling would be no problem but this causes jumps everywhere.
It just isn't the quality you expect from RealGM. I imagine it would drive off new people pretty quickly and I can't imagine continuing to post here if its going to be a long-term problem. I'm not going to go to a forum that can't be used to communicate.

Dont have anything constructive to say, but this new format sucks. At times the words go too far. at times the repsonses run into poster's locations, I hate the pulldown ads that keep popping up. Thanks.

Having the same problem. Sometimes when I quote a post it gets fixed, but in general I can't read the entire post. Very annoying. I'm also on IE 7 and using Vista.

I'm having a hard time figuring out what could be causing this problem because I don't know exactly what is happening. The next time this happens to one of you could you please take a screen shot and post a link to it so I can see what the word wrap problem looks like? It would be a big help because I have never encountered any word wrap problems.

I don't know how to do that. Hopefully someone else would oblige. However, I think you can get enough of a visual from our description. Basically, the text runs off the page so we can't see it. I don't think seeing a picture of it is going to add much to that description. And the problem is still occuring regularly.

Here are a couple of screenshots of what everyone is talking about. It's really weird...notice that the join date and location both overflow to the right as well. It only happens intermittently, but it seems like when it does happen, the problem sticks around for a long time. My guess is that it is some kind of CSS issue, combined with the browser cache? I dunno for sure.
The problem only happens for me in Internet Explorer 7 (7.0.5730.11) on my PC, which is running Windows XP. I do not see it in Safari on my Mac.
http://homepage.mac.com/macg3/realgmproblem.pnghttp://homepage.mac.com/macg3/realgmproblem2.pngNotice that in the screenshots, they say "Error on page" at the bottom. I don't know if it's related, but here is the error displayed:
Line: 51
Char: 3
Error: Can't move focus to the control because it is invisible, not enabled, or of a type that does not accept the focus.
Code: 0
URL:
viewtopic.php?f=40&t=818099Anyway, hope this can help track down whatever the issue is. It's quite irritating.

Let me know if you need any other help tracking the bug down.

Usually on your keyboard next to scroll lock on the right side there is a prtscrn button. Just click that and go to paint and click paste. Then save the image in your pictures and upload it on tinypic.com and post the link in these threads.

Last night I was finally able to trace the problem to a piece of code that one of our advertisers was using. We have removed the ads that were causing problems from the rotation until we can get things straightened out.
Since the ads have been removed there should no longer be any problems, but we need some confirmation. If you have experienced the problem in the past could you please let us know if you still encounter the text wrap problem? Thanks.

Sweet! Thanks! Come to think of it, I haven't had this problem today, I don't think. I will post here if it comes back.
