Anyone else have this problem? I can get to the board index but when I try to enter a message board like the raptors one or general, I get the "Safari can’t open the page “http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewforum.php?f=32&sid=73f769166e1aee65478f0b086cdd103f” because the network connection was reset, which sometimes occurs when the server is busy. You might be able to open the page later." message.

I am running os x btw

I'm getting the same thing. I don't know if it was in a recent Safari update or what, but the boards are essentially unusable now. I've had to switch back to Firefox, which I really don't like.

I've been having this issue as well. It comes and goes, and it is very very annoying.

This is still an issue...are any steps being taken to resolve it or am I forever stuck using Firefox?

Just out of curiosity (and because I sometimes use a Mac) has the problem with RealGM/Safari compatibility been rectified?

I'm having the same problem too. I can't even login in Safari b/c it always says "connection reset" every other time you refresh, which is annoying, b/c you refresh to get to the login page, then you hit "login", and then it goes back to the same page...

"Safari can’t open the page.
Safari can’t open the page “http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewforum.php?f=243” because the network connection was reset. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes, and then try again."

I checked everything out and I could not find anything that would cause problems with Safari. If RealGM is working in another browser on your computer it could be a problem with Safari itself.

During my search for a known bug or a fix I came across a number posts on the Apple support forum where users were having the same problem with different sites. If you are using the Safari 4 beta, it could be a bug. If you are using Safari 3, most people suggested to reset Safari or clear your cache. If that doesn't work you may want to post the problem on the Apple support forum to see if someone there can help.

Thanks for the response. i'll try using Safari on another compy and see if that changes anything.

I've tried it on several Macintosh computers, from several different internet connections, and on both Safari 3 or Safari 4 beta. Resetting Safari allows it to work maybe once or twice, but the network connection reset message always comes back sooner or later. Real annoying...

I have the same issue with my Safari/Mac. It hasn't worked even once for me. I'm stuck with FireFox.

Google Chrome for Mac is out, it's faster than Safari and it also has top sites.

Yeah thats what I have been using, but I find Chrome is a resource hog compared to Safari... but I guess i don't have an option

Oddly enough, I'm having the same problem with Google Chrome for PC. I've also reverted to Firefox ...

I seem to now have this problem with Safari 4 on Leopard. It worked fine before but today all of a sudden I can't view any topics. I have the exact issue as the OP, am posting this on Chrome.

Im havin the same problem, not only with Safari but also with Firefox...just found out today that Chrome works perfectly fine, but it kinda sucks to be in the need of 3 different browser on OS X.

I'm also having this problem on Safari, but only one of my Macs. I have two both running the same OS and the same version of Safari with the same add-ons (plugins). I tried reseting Safari to no avail.

I searched around and some people seemed to suggest that its happened before on older versions of Safari where certain ads were causing the site to not be displayed at all. Others said it was a CSS issue. I'm not sure if this is relevant to the latest version of Safari.

Bumped; it used to work on one of my macs and not on the other, but now it doesn't work on either one. I have no idea why...
