mod abusing their role

Howard- I would just like to express my worries about one of the mods on the board. On the Heat board lane1974 is basically threatening suspension of anyone that posts a dissenting view even if there are no personal attacks and even though it is part of perfectly legitimate discussion. Here is the post that he threatened to suspend me for (not verbatim because he removed it but I'd think you could check to see the exact verbiage)

"Instead of focusing on the areas where the 2 fanbases disagree, there is one thing that the fans of both teams want to see. PLAY MORE JAMAAL MAGLOIRE! I just can't see why Spoelstra can't get on board with something that the fans of both teams badly want to see!"

Thats it. That is the comment that he thought was worthy of threatening me with suspension. There were no personal attacks and that is far from flamebait- I think its just fascinating that the Heat fans are clamoring because they think that Maglorie would be a major force in the series where Hawks fans think that he would be a total liability. In my opinion that should be a completely legitimate topic of conversation.

I know that at least a couple more Hawk fans have already been suspended for posting on the Heat board and I cannot say whether those suspensions were well deserved or not, I just know that when he is threatening me with suspension over completely legitimate posts I think he is crossing the line and abusing his power and its something that I felt like you should be aware of.

I would have PM'd you but since thats not an option I suppose this is the only outlet I have.

Thanks for your time Howard. I just thought that you probably needed to be aware of it in case you weren't already. As always thanks for all the work you put into the site.
