If I were to ask to be waived, would be I granted that request?

I don't know. I don't want to be waived. I was just wondering. I was thinking that it was the equivalent of deleting an account.

I would like to know though if that is a possibility upon request. It might be something I might want to do in the future.

It seems like you're under the impression that your posts/profile are deleted when you are waived. That's not the case.

I just asked the question. I don't know why you are so interested in responding or adding your color commentary to this discussion. Really, it shouldn't even be a discussion, it is simply a question.

Can a user be waived upon a request.

and your question has been answered, you can either get yourself waived or simply stop posting. they do not delete accounts.

The answer has not been yet delivered. I am asking about waiving, not deleting. Waiving obviously does not delete the posts.

And sign up a new account? Wouldn't that be self-defeating in the first place?

Some users do sign up with new accounts and as everyone, second accounts are not allowed.

Did Duiz actually get waived because he wanted to or did he get waived for doing something he wasn't supposed to?

I'd assume he got waived for being a moron. He would post IBTL in every thread that was likely lock worthy, and would just get into heated arguments in all Jazz related threads. With him there was never a jazz player who wasn't the best at whatever the topic at hand was.

Actually I think the specific reason for the waiving was spamming the latest Rockets/Lakers thread with pictures from ClutchFans for about 3-4 straight pages.

I think he could've done with a warning instead of waiving though, I really enjoyed his posts for the most part.
