deal RealGM,

On behalf of the RealGM Community, I, iki4life, am requesting for a chatroom be constructed for the general use of our population. This would allow the users for live chat as opposed to refreshing game threads.
A general chatroom would also be complimentary, to fans from across the U.S.A. to interact with one another.
Finally, a global chatroom, in which users like myself, can chat basketball with other people who share the same interests.
Kindly take this request into consideration.

As a member of a board with one of the most active chat rooms during games when Real GM had chat (the Wizards) I heartily endorse this. I've heard weak excuses why the chat feature was abandoned, but if Real GM truly wants to be the premier site of this genre, it needs a chat option---general/global, and then for each individual team as well.

and here's why is won't work. Talking smack about how the rich guys you have never met but arbitrarily decided to follow are superior to the rich men someone else arbitrarily decided to follow devolves into jibberish so quickly there would be no one willing to even bother showing up. It would be 10 of the most obnoxious people in the world and no other page views generating ad revenue.

Absolutely! Great idea....and once it is okay make a global announcement on each individual team board.

I agree with this as well. This would be big time fun. I remember the good ole days at AOL NBA chat and I loved those and made some great online sports friends...

Well forgive me if I'm breaking the rules here for posting this but if you guys need a Basketball chat room for the time being, funmessenger.com has one that nobody ever goes in. So basically all you do is make a tag, (doesn't have to be your real info), then you can log in under whatever name you want and chat. heres the link.

We used to have it but it really slowed down the website if I am not mistaken. It was fun to use during the draft.

We currently don't have any plans to bring back a chat. That being said if the demand is there we'll consider bringing back if we find something that works for us.

I would love to have this, it would be awesome. I'm definitely for it.
