Thread on OT board locked

Why was my thread about Juan Jacobo Fernandez locked? I couldn't see how I could post an historic even on the CA board, so the OT board was the logical progression. The thread was locked before any real discussion could take place?

Stop what? It is far from current, I made a thread about 19th Century History just recently the thread wasn't locked but this one is, PLEASE EXPLAIN?

The Notic had a long, long list of warnings and suspensions. While this last thing he did (I'm not even sure what it was or from what board) may not have looked bad enough for a ban, it couldn't be viewed independently.
This is one reason why I am now a retired mod.

Soooo...does anyone like Cookies-n-Cream Ice Cream? I think it's the best Ice Cream Flavor ever invented?

Why is this relevant?
And if a thread is in an inappriopiate spot a mods job is to move it, not lock it.
