It's because you're registered as a COPPA group member

i have the same problem, apparently you get registered under COPPA when you click the "i am under 13 years old" box. I'm guessing you clicked on it by accident just like i did. I emailed the Admins about this COPPA nonsense but it seems like they can't do anything about it.

Maybe they think that by having Bargnani in your avatar, you must by deduction be under 13.

Did you get banned from some team's forums? I was inexplicably banned from the Knicks forum so I can no longer post there...

You're not missing much there. There are posts that are over 2 weeks old on their 1st page. You're more likely to get a response and thus an interesting chat by posting in notepad.
