Wiretap: Use First Names

"Smith suffers knee injury" is the type of thing likely to be seen on the Wiretap. I can't count the number of times I've panicked thinking one player was hurt or injured when it was someone with the same last name, often a 'Williams.'

Why not just post complete lies then. "Bryant dies in car accident" with a link to Joe Forte making a comeback or something.

We certainly don't leave out first names in order to increase the number of people who click through to the article.
More frequently than not, we'll list the first name or the team name whenever there is a common name involved, though sometimes there is an assumption that the person being referred to is clear.
Of the current Wiretaps, I counted four that have a first and last name.
I agree with the sentiment that not including the first name can be frustrating/misleading, so I appreciate the feedback.
