Again with the unneccesary lock

Post#1 » by Ka5p3r » Mon Sep 21, 2009 11:06 pm

I'm askign WHY this topic was locked??

I'm just asking Mods and others on why topics are being locked in a way that i am NOT downgrading ANYONE!...and then it gets LOCKED!...
A few of my questions we not even answered!

Code: Select all

I honeslty think the Raptors Mods are Locking WAYY too many topics because THEY THINK the topic has died or a question was answered...
What's the hard in letting a topic go...what if a new train of thought was to come up...how could someone post when its locked?

you've been answered twice on the Raptors' page. not sure what you are trying to get at by repeatedly asking this question.

He is "generally speaking" and as such we, most of us, concur with the OP. The locking of threads on the Raptors board is a bit too excessive, regardless of your reasons which we've heard...

one can argue that the repetitive posting of a topic is a bit too excessive, regardless of your reasons which we mods have heard.

again, there always is a reason for a lock. its the moderator's discretion. not everyone agrees with a person's discretion or a judgment call.

but i see the point you are making and understand where you guys are coming from. we will try to ensure we are not overprotective with locks.

This comes straight from our rules thread on the forum which I suggest you read before making a post like this again. It's clear in the rules why your thread was locked, and why threads like that in the future will also be closed.

6. If your thread has been locked or removed please do not start up another thread asking for an explanation. If you have a question about the status of a thread please contact the moderators of the Raptors forum by Email at raptorsgm@yahoo.ca

We are easy to contact via Email and clearly have stated many times that opening up a new thread to complain about a locked topic is never the right approach.

I also had to contact you twice this week about the constant complainants you have made directed towards the Moderating team... again I suggest you contact us via Email if you have an issue with something we do in the future.

Being a moderator isn't the easiest job and having someone like you constantly complaining on the main board about our actions doesn't help.
