Allright, its nice to the guys trying to make rules to run the board better. Just thought I'd give a little suggestion. Add a rule saying that, the entire content of the blog must be posted and then a link a bottom. I'm assuming that most links to the blogs are being posted by the writers themselves. If the blog is someone else's then the 3 pargraphs quote and link will do fine ... but that way, if you don't want to click someone's blog and help gain the site hits (which is really the purpose) this is a way to avoid it and still have the discussion generated from the content of the blog.

Part of the reason that people link to blogs in the first place is because you can actually format it to look the way you want to. A big brick of text isn't half as engaging.

It's also up to you to click the blog and read it or not, which is why we've added the rule where you have to both put [Blog] in the title, as well as a portion of the text. That way you can understand what you're getting in to before you click it.

Furthermore, many blogs put interesting material on the site so that they can get hits, like Bigmac's video threads or Dino Nation interviews, or other good blog material. What we are trying to prevent is people simply spamming the forum with garbage.
