new proposed rule

I post on another forum, that has a policy of "no fighter bashing" (its a fighting forum obiously)
I think that a similar rule like "no player bashing" should be implemented to stop some of teh more extreme stupid posts and give RealGM a little more credibility.
Basically, you would be able to say player X is a poor defender. But saying player X is a douche, moron, etc would be a warnable/banable offense.
thoughts on this?

That is a statement of fact, not a derogatory statement.

How else are we supposed to describe Marbury if we can't use the word moron?
If that were to become a rule, it would replace backseat modding as the most ignored rule on RealGM. Also, this thread belongs in the Feedback forum.

not banned, jut a warning and re-occurrences of it a suspension (banning in extreme cases).
Since intelligent basketball conversation is clearly not something people are expecting from RealGm I guess this rule has no value.
edit: spelling

80% of all posters would be banned or waived if this rule was implemented. if somebody wants to call a player a certain name its not hurting anyone.

Not a real issue. People should be able to express their opinion as long as it's tasteful on the non team boards and their favorite team board(s). If a poster decides to go on another teams board to player bash (trolling) they'll most likely be issued a warning.

Not a good idea.
The point of the rules is to maintain a civil and family friendly atmosphere.
Not make sure nobody ever says anything that somebody doesn't like. This forum would become sterile.
