Hey!

I've been a long time reader/addict of RealGM, so don't let my number of posts represent my user activity.

I was wondering how difficult it would be to incorporate a topic thread rating system, and a user post rating system. Something similar to thumbs up idea seen on sites such as http://www.cbc.ca/news/ where users can recommend posts by other users. Also, within the topic; have the ability to sort responses in order of the number of "thumbs ups". This would bring the real content to the forefront of each forum and thread; while pushing all the useless "+1"s and " "s to the end of each thread.

Imagine how negative I would be viewed if a +/- system was added to posts as ratings.

i think it would be a bad idea. there are alot of posters on here who have problems with other posters. i think it would lead to people just giving people a negative rating regardless of whether or not the post was good or bad.

^ That statistic doesn't necessarily need to be visible. The idea wasn't meant as means to rate individual users; just their individual contributions. I still think that this would be a great idea. Can anyone that maintains or develops this site weigh in on this?

Any developers reading the feedback and suggestions forum?

could you imagine what thread against Toronto/NY would get?

All the Yao/Yi would be the best read of course.....
