Why can't I use my old handle?

So I log in one day, and it won't let me use my old account. It says something about a returning user. WTF? I wasn't using another account. I wasn't even in any contraversy or arguments with anyone. It was just out of the blue. I'd like to use my old account. I was building a reputation. This makes no sense to me.

It would be easier to look into what happened with your old account if you told us the name of the account.

No. I don't know who this "Hobo Gonzolez" thinks he is telling everyone what my old accounts are. Especially as he's not even a mod and doesn't have access to my IP, email addresses, or anything else about me. This is my first account. And someone needs to tell this backseat moderating clown to get a life.

Also, backseating moderating backseat moderators is backseat moderating.
And insulting posters by calling them clowns is also against the TOS.
