I'm almost certain the site is losing traffic because of it, I certainly am discouraged from browsing on mobile because of it.

I never view this site with any browser other than Brave with ad-blocking turned on because of how badly it performs compared to literally any other forum site or web page that's actually not malware.

If you are a standard Chrome user I can't see how you could possibly last very long without abandoning the site.

I don't have actual metrics but I don't see a lot of new blood as I peruse the forums daily (besides the obvious alts of various posters). The only reason I stay is because I've already been here awhile and know how to navigate/turn off the ads to make the experience tolerable.

As a new user I would have never engaged in the first place.

The fact that this behavior warrants a stickied 20 page ad-related thread should be proof enough that the current approach is problematic.

On the NFL wiretap page, I see an "article" about UFC Vegas 48, that appears to just be an advertisement for various online betting sites. This is not listed as a "sponsored" post, and there is no way to post a comment to the "article". This seems like a suspect practice that makes me a bit wary about the relationship between RealGM and its advertisers.

My feeling is that a posting should be clearly labelled "sponsored" in a situation like this, but I am curious to know RealGM's position.

I came here because for about 10 pages in a row, the ads disabled using the pages at all, and I had to refresh and click on then next navigation link within a second of loading the page to be able to even get to my complaint. The ad appears like a thin sliver down the left hand side of the page but basically disables any activity alongside its length, top to bottom. So I can scroll and read the page I am on, but can't interact with it. The stupid thing is I can't even tell what ad it is - it is having no positive effect for the advertiser.

Every time I click a thread it’s a full page meat ad and a two secondary lower screen ads that have two x’s. Whoever is in charge of these needs to make it stop. Yes, ads for money. I’m good with it. But ads for ads and then maybe basketball for a minute before more ads is rough.

There's now an ad that pops up where I can't get rid of it, I hit back and it takes me out of the thread I clicked on so I can't even view the forum.

RealGm is unreadable on a phone without adblock. Why do you put up videos at the bottom of the screen that one has to slide to access to close button and are a hassle to close?

So I naively was using standard chrome on a machine to use this site today and a McAfee ad popped up that completely took over/obscured the screen and started popping up virus warnings over and over (which were *part of the ad*). I was completely confused for a couple of minutes until I scrolled around and saw the X at the top middle to dismiss it.

This is just not okay. Back to using Brave I go and have no qualms of not generating any revenue for the site.

I'm getting ads that pop up covering the entire page around 15 seconds after entering a page. There's seemingly no way to get rid of it unless I exit the page?

I do everything I can to not go to an ad block. But it is absolutely ridiculous to have adds pop up, that coupled with a keyboard to type a reply leave you with one line of space to actually see the screen. It is completely unusable at this point, here is my screen part way through typing this:

This site is mobile aids on safari. Legit deleting this **** from my bookmarks, it’s not worth the trouble of waiting for 1/3 of the screen worth of adds to close on every page
