OT Realgm issue

Post#1 » by CrazyKnicks » Mon Feb 22, 2010 3:43 pm

The past week or so, sometimes when I open up the Knicks forum or enter a thread on this site, the page looks out of wack. It is really annoying with the threads because it makes them hard to read....
Is anyone having a similar issue or is it just me?

I'm having the issue too (actually, as I clicked reply, it is happening right now). Basically the entire page is in text and the graphics are all missing. It has been happening randomly ever since the trade deadline day / outages. Usually if I refresh a few times it goes back to normal.

Yeah, I've noticed that too...it's a Style Load failure (meaning one of the CSS files failed to load).

A few people have also had this problem as well.

I'll go ahead and move this to the Feedback Board for you so that they can better see it.

In the meantime try this:

Clear out your Cookies (especially any RealGM files). Logout. Close your Browser. Launch it again, and log back in.

I get it about 25% of the time when I refresh the page.

I've just been closing my browser and reopening and I'm fine.

I get it every once in a while, but only on the Football or Baseball boards. Not enough to do anything about it, but it happens.

Has this been continuing to happen for any of you? I noticed it during the deadline week, but not at all since then.

It's definitely an issue with the css not loading. I'll take a look and see if there is something causing the problem.

I'm having the same problem. I thought it started because of the high volume of posters we had during the trade deadline. The problem has persisted since. I'm using Google Chrome ... not sure if the problem is the same on other servers.

it's still happening from time to time but just until I read this thread I thought it happened because I changed my internet browser.

edit: it doesn't bother me at all though. just keep refreshing the page and you're fine.

Same here. About 25% of the time, maybe a bit more.

i continue t o see this on both baseball and basketball boards thoughout march on a random basis.. yes, it clears itself if i refresh my browser. but I, the user shouldn't have to be constantly fixing real gm's software site gliches. and real gm admin had better start taking people's complaints more seriously and start acting on them rather than just saying it doesn't happen for me anymore or questioning the person's post as being truthful.

Cr Riena- what actual fix action did you accomplish? the problem started around the trade deadline. what software upgrades did you implement at that time? and what fixes have you installed to correct the problem? I never saw this prblem before last month. Now I see it at least once a day. On a positive note, the virus attacks have gone away. I' m not sure which is worse. the new problem is annoying, but not a potential security issue.

This has happened to us as well, though only during high traffic times. We should hopefully have it fixed by the end of the week or the beginning of next week.

I often get that in the Rockets board, despite the low to mid-low traffic.
