Hi, myself and some Aussies from the OT board have started a thread called Off Topic Australia. The idea is to eventually hope that you guys will establish an Off Topic Australia board, like the Off Topic Canada one. We believe that there is enough interest on the OT board alone, from both Aussies and people from other countries, and then when you include the Aussies who currently only post on team boards, we believe that there will be more than enough traffic to make an Off Topic Australia board work really well. Hope to hear back from you guys!

I think an OTA board is well justified because there are tons of Aussie posters on realgm, but they are dispersed across all the different team boards. Aussies need and deserve a common place of their own to gather and discuss the greatness of their homeland.

I've always thought this would be a good idea. We're known for rambling on quite a bit which leads me to believe there will be ample discussion on said board. It is quite hard at times to continue Australian conversation and/or help posters out with question about our country in different threads, as the dialect usually gets lost.

I am not sure what the percentage of people are from Australia but it seems like there is always one in every thread I read. I can see why they would want one.

Nope, they're just the same as Americans. Speaking of which, all Americans (and everyone else) is welcome in the Off Topic Australia thread on the OT board, and in the future Off Topic Australia board. Boog supports the cause, he just has trouble using his words sometimes.

I am in support of this idea under one condition:

A poster who gathers 1000 posts on the OTA board gets Australian citizenship. And by poster, I mean me.

I nominate the Next Big Thing as a moderator for OFF topic australia. For all the effort you put in and if this becomes reality you should the moderator.

Thanks Scorpion King and Gremz. You're both top blokes. Thank you all (and everyone else) as well for supporting the push for an Off Topic Australia board. If I end up as a mod, don't worry, I'll still do the rookie jobs and carry the other mods bags and bring donuts to meetings.

Hello my fellow RealGMers. My name is Canomad and today i want to talk to you about a wonderful place, a place that i like to call Australia. This wonderful place has given us many quality posters, to many to mention and i think they deserve their own board just like the Canadians. They dont have bagged milk and they dont try and pass of ham as bacon. That alone is enough to give them their own board. If we all ban together we can make this dream a reality and make RealGM a better place for everyone.
