Tayloe Taylor, a 6’3” point guard from Livingstone, was selected by the expansion Dayton Air Strikers as the first overall pick in the 2011 Premier Basketball League Entry Draft.\\The draft, which was held at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago, allows the PBL’s eight teams to select upcoming talent for the league’s upcoming fourth season. “Thanks to U.S, Cellular, our sponsors, Fusion Communications, owners, coaches, gm’s and the fans for making this such a successful event,” stated Dr. Sev Hrywnak, Chairman of the Board.

After two seasons at East Tennessee State, Tayloe Taylor moved to Livingstone, where he led the CIAA conference in steals (3.3), assists (7.0), minutes played (37.1) and assist to turnover ratio (2.0).\\He received invitations to the Memphis Grizzlies’ preseason camp, as well as a tryout with the NBDL’s Iowa Energy.

In the second round, the Air Strikers chose Marcus Johnson, a 6’3” point guard from the University of Dayton.\\Johnson finished his senior season at Dayton by helping his teammates cut down the net at the 2010 National Invitational Tournament, where Dayton won the championship.\\He ranks second in Dayton history in games played (135), averaging 9.5 ppg in 26.9 minutes per game.\\He scored 20 points in the NIT championship game, and was named to the NIT All-Tournament Team.

Some pretty good players selected in this draft. In particular, I remember Kyle Cufe from St Johns and certainly Marcus Johnson. Johnson was one of Dayton's top players and should fit in well with his local squad. Edgerson is pretty solid, and Augustin and Robinson are also pretty good. Got to love the Tiny Gallon mention as well.

The order went like this:
