James Borrego is gaining traction to become the next head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers, reports ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Borrego has also been a candidate for the Los Angeles Lakers' head coaching vacancy.
Borrego is currently the top assistant coach of the New Orleans Pelicans and was previously a head coach with the Charlotte Hornets.
The Cavaliers are searching for a replacement for J.B. Bickerstaff.
