Bucks Will Try To Hire Sam Cassell Away From Celtics As Lead Assistant

The Milwaukee Bucks are expected to extend a significant offer to hire Sam Cassell as the lead assistant coach under Doc Rivers.

Cassell has worked as an assistant coach to Rivers in nine of his 15 seasons as an NBA coach. Cassell has been an assistant coach for the Boston Celtics this season under Joe Mazzulla. 

The Bucks hired Rivers in January after firing Adrian Griffin.

This is not what the article says. While Stein reported on May 15th that they were expected to pursue Cassell, his article from yesterday states:

"The Stein Line reported on May 15, [Cassell] widely expected to receive a significant offer from the Bucks after the
Finals to reunite with Rivers as the Bucks' lead assistant."

"Adding both Ham and Buckner to a staff that already features three highly regarded assistants (Dave Joerger, Rex Kalamian and Joe Prunty) would suggest that Milwaukee expects Cassell to stay in Boston and perhaps gain promotion with the Celtics into Lee's spot."

So this is misleading.
