It only turns out to be dumb if they end up getting nothing out of it. Poole, at the time, was a promising rising star so I feel they may have been able to get more for him, but it remains to be seen if they can trade CP3 for any kind of value here.
In my mind, the Clippers have no interest in just CP3 for PG13 straight up. They wanted Porter Jr and picks from the Nuggets, so it would take some young talent for the Clippers to accept the trade and Wiggins isn't it. Maybe they try their chance with Klay, but I don't know.
There could be other teams in play though, so we will see soon enough. The 30th is only 2 days away.
