The Charlotte Hornets have waived Seth Curry, but there is interest from both sides on a new contract in free agency. The Hornets had a Friday deadline on guaranteeing his contract.
Curry signed a two-year, $8 million deal with the Dallas Mavericks during the 2023 offseason. The Mavericks traded Curry to the Hornets at the deadline as part of the P.J. Washington deal.
Curry, who is represented by Austin Brown of CAA, appeared in eight games with the Hornets and averaged 9.0 points on 32.1 percent shooting.
