Gary Trent Jr. Not Expected To Return To Raptors

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Jul 9, 2024 4:22 am

The Toronto Raptors are not expected to bring back Gary Trent Jr., according to Josh Lewenberg of TSN.

The two sides are meeting in Las Vegas later this week.

The Raptors were willing to re-sign Trent for around $15 million per season. Trent was looking for a raise to around $25 million.

Trent would now be lucky to get a contract for the mid-level exception at around $12.5 million, according to sources.

The Raptors' offer is no longer on the table.

He should've taken the $15 Mil, but now he'll be lucky to get the MLE.
