Joe Bryant has passed away at the age of 69 after recently suffering a massive stroke. Bryant, the father of Kobe Bryant, was a first round pick in 1975 and played for the Philadelphia 76ers, San Diego Clippers and Houston Rockets before a long career in Europe. Bryant also coached for many years, most notably as head coach of the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks.
Bryant played collegiately at La Salle and was one of the legends of Philadelphia basketball.
