San Antonio Spurs 2024 second-round draftee Juan Nunez has signed with Barcelona for the upcoming season. The Spurs acquired Nunez's draft rights in a trade with the Indiana Pacers.
Nunez previously played for Real Madrid in Spain and Ratiopharm Ulm in Germany. Last season for Ratiopharm Ulm, the 6-foot-4 point guard averaged 9.9 points, 4.9 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game.
Nunez's deal reportedly includes an out for him to come to the NBA in the summer of 2025. The Spurs will keep tabs on the 20-year-old's development in Spain and could have him join the team for the 2025-26 season on a long-term deal.
