The Toronto Raptors are signing free agent big man Bruno Fernando to a non-guaranteed contract. Fernando recently cleared waivers after being let go by the Atlanta Hawks.
Fernando's deal is expected to include some guaranteed money if he makes the opening night roster for Toronto.
In his second stint with the Hawks, Fernando played in 45 games last season. He averaged 6.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in 15.2 minutes per game. The 6-foot-9 center has also played for the Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets in his five-year NBA career.
