Chris Bosh Was Inspired By Rasho Nesterovic To Play In Goran Dragic Tribute Game

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Aug 25, 2024 1:57 am

Chris Bosh played in a basketball game on Saturday for the first time since 2016 when he was forced to retire due to his blood clot condition. Bosh was only planning on attending Goran Dragic's send off game in Slovenia, but he was inspired to actually play once he saw that his former Toronto Raptors teammate Rasho Nesterovic was also playing.

"Once I saw Rasho Nesterovic get out there, I said, 'OK, I could go up and down a couple of times,'" Bosh laughed. "Rasho's great, we're all older now, but those years in Toronto, they kind of brought me back.

"I just wanted to share the court. I said, 'OK, I have to get out here and have some fun,'" Bosh smiled.

Bosh was teammates with the Miami Heat with Dragic before his medical retirement.

Will never forget Bosh’s classless HoF induction speech. He didn’t thank a single person connected to the Toronto Raptors organization. It was like they never existed.

He cared only about Rasho? Who knew?

Because he didn't have anyone to thank for. Appreciate his honesty.

5 All-star selections as a Raptor and not a single person to thank? He did that all on his own?

Basketball is a team sport, or so Bosh said in his HoF speech.

If you watched him in Toronto he actually was doing everything on his own. The raptors owe thanks to him

Miami paid fully the remaining of Bosh's contract 52mil even after he stopped playing in 2016.
Miami also retired his jersey.
People tend to thank who helped and/or appreciated them the most and thats understandable at least from my point of view and his HoF speech the way it was made sense as well.

Another thing is that Bosh's words are blown out of proportion, he 100% could've said what he said as a joke and people be commenting all around the internet oh Bosh decided to play cuz of Rasho wow so crazy... he might've decided to play cuz he felt good that day, who knows, or he just decided to play cuz he loves the game, nobody will ever know his true reason, unless we are to believe it was for Rasho or Dragic or anything like that, which I don't believe, because he has a health condition and when you have a health condition you decide to play or not play for yourself, your own health comes first, because you have obligation and responsibility to stay alive and healthy to your loved ones and some people do that, because they want to live and be healthy as well... crazy I know... after all that you can consider other things, but I think things are very clear if people care to think a little more than whats on the surface.

The Rasho comment being a joke still doesn’t excuse Bosh’s classless HoF speech, completely ignoring anything connected to the Raptors and the city of Toronto, for that matter.

You decided to make three posts on this, saying the same thing? Are we not feeling your pain enough?

Chris Bosh hasn’t been a Raptor since 2010. Maybe move on with your life?

Wouldn’t have made 3 posts if people with lives didn’t keep responding.

It was definitely noticeable that he didn't say anything about Toronto, almost like he made a point of it...which is fine, hes entitled to that. But why did he later approach the Raptors about retiring his number. This is weird behavior, which has been pretty consistent with Bosh throughout his career.

And its madness to say he had NO ONE to thank from Toronto, the team that drafted him and campaigned for him. He made friends there, I wonder how they felt about that

Yeah, it was a classless move by Bosh to basically deny Toronto's existence in his HoF speech. You almost have to go out of your way to do that, like you said. I'm just surprised anybody would defend something like that. I thought my post was a one & done.

Bosh can’t forget the fans almost hung his GF at the time for igniting Kobe’s 81pt game
