LeBron James is sitting out the Los Angeles Lakers' opening preseason game on Friday versus the Minnesota Timberwolves.
JJ Redick previously said James and Anthony Davis would both play at some point this weekend. The Lakers next play on Sunday against the Phoenix Suns.
