JJ Redick: Bronny James Can Become 'Really Disruptive Defender'

JJ Redick praised Bronny James following the Los Angeles Lakers' 124-107 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in preseason.

"He's had some really good days in August and September. He's had three really good days this week. We're really happy with his progress," said Redick.

James finished the game with two points and three blocks in 16 minutes.

Redick added that James could find a role as a "disruptive defender" in the league.

"He can do some things defensively at his size that are really unique, and I think can turn into a really disruptive defender. That manifested itself. On the offensive end, he's still figuring out who he is," said Redick.

LeBron James, who sat out on Friday, is expected to suit up on Sunday.

Please. He got cooked in summer league. Reed Sheppard who is gonna be the 3rd string point guard for a non playoff team ate his lunch. The sooner they figure out he's not an nba player, the better off everyone will be.

LeBron had the Lakers hire a yes man coach just for things like this. It's embarrassing all the way around, but get ready for this to be the narrative this season because the media has been out of ideas for over a decade now.

Crazy hype surrounding him because of his name, Bronny needs to focus on learning to play off the ball (spot up 3pt shooter) and essentially absorb Reddicks tips like a sponge. I feel like the Lakers didn't get much better for this year, especially drafting LBJs son with the first round draft pick.

Bronny doesn't do 1 thing exceptionally well, he's undersized if placed at the off guard spot. And he isn't quite needed to play traditional PG with LBJ still dominating the ball.

The Lakers should have pushed to sign CP3 in the off season and Bronny should have been his apprentice. Lakers were already a decent team that wasn't going to do too much damage in the playoffs before this season, not sure how well they're going to do this season.
