LaMelo Ball Fined $100K For Using Derogatory Language In Postgame Interview

Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball was fined $100,000 for using derogatory language during a postgame interview. Ball made an offensive comment following the Hornets victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, November 16.

In an on-court interview, the Charlotte star was asked about the Hornets getting a stop on the final possession to defeat the Bucks. Ball replied, "We loaded up – no homo. That's what we wanted, put a hand up and then live with the results."

I don’t understand why people like Ball need to say this. We all know he’s not a homo and slays the hottest chicks. I don’t think anyone would doubt that.

it’s just the lingo the hip hop community uses. he should just say pause like everyone else since the sensitivity for that phrase has increased since that term was first birthed.

even though he's probably one of the ugliest mofos in the whole league. must be his personalitiy that the chicks fall for. :lol:

really bizarre to get a 2.5x bigger fine for this which is more akin to dumb slang than any true feelings than Anthony Edwards got for going out of his way to spend his free time filming and hatefully mocking people out there living their lives

cursing in just about every post game interview for the last year might be finally catching up to him

or 4x Jokic for the exact same phrase but of course, thats just white privilege in action
