Zion Williamson, CAA Part Ways

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sat Nov 23, 2024 3:06 am

Zion Williamson and Creative Arts Agency have silt ways. The reason for the split is not immediately known. Austin Brown, Williamson’s primary representative at CAA, did not return messages seeking comment.

Williamson signed a five-year, $197 million contract extension with the New Orleans Pelicans in 2022 that was to begin in the 2023-24 season, but the final three years of the contract are not guaranteed.

The Pelicans have the contractual power to waive Williamson after this season with no financial ramifications. Williamson has been dominant when he plays, with career averages of 24.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and a shooting percentage near 60 percent. But his career has been slowed down by injury.

Williamson appeared in 70 games last season for the Pelicans, but was injured in the Play-In and missed the entirety of their first round series against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Time for Rich Paul to scoop in. Have Zion workout with Bron and follow Bron’s diet routine for an offseason and Zion will be a different player.

Zion does not have the maturity or will to be a pro athlete. He should have been working on his right hand, his jumpshot, and his defensive awareness and he keeps tripping over basic things like diet and conditioning.

The pelicans were foolish to extend his rookie deal without trading him and he will not learn until it’s too late

Maybe they couldn't find another foolish team to trade him to.

I'm betting either Klutch or family takes over. Neither bodes well for NOP.

I agree. Get him on the HGH program, a real trainer, a solid nutritionist, and a mental health coach. If he surrounds himself with these people and just focuses all on basketball with this he will be a legit HOF level player. If not, he is likely out of the league in 3 seasons.

They said the same thing about Ben Simmons. Some guys just don't love the game like that. They want to get paid to do nothing, and coast off their god given talents.

How would this massive dude profit from an HGH program? Zions needs the cancer patient "diet" LeBron did that one summer and even then he would be one of the strongest players in the game.

Lol HGH doesn’t just build muscle… it strengthens ligaments, tendons, bones, immunity, metabolism, and cognitive function…

It's also something they get tested for... so why bring it up?
