Fred VanVleet Fined $50,000 For Confronting Referees At End Of Saturday's Loss

Fred VanVleet has been fined $50,000 for confronting and directing profane language toward the officiating staff near the conclusion of the Houston Rockets’ 104-98 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Nov. 23 at Toyota Center.

There was some speculation that VanVleet could receive a suspension for the incident.

I think he didn't get a suspension, because the refs admitted after the game they got the call wrong that set him off. They agreed he was fouled, even though it wasn't on the shot.

Make the refs pay the fine, since they caused the whole situation with their incompetence.

If this is true, if I’m a player I’m beating the **** out of a ref anytime they make a bad call.

I won’t get in trouble as long as it can be proven the ref made a bad call.
