With the NBA beginning their new media rights deals next season, each team will have their annual payout in Year 1 increase by 33 percent to $137 million, three NBA team executive tell Sportico. It will then jump by 13.5 percent in Year 2 followed by annual seven percent increases for the remainder of the contracts. In the final season of the contract in 35-36, each team will receive $297 million from the media rights deals.
The NBA agreed to a series of deals with ESPN, NBC and Amazon worth a combined $76 billion over 11 years earlier this year. The new deals project to average out at $12.12 per viewer per game.
The salary cap is projected to go over $200 million by the 25-26 season.
