Giannis Antetokounmpo Following Loss To Knicks: 'We've Gotta Get Our Stuff Together'

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Jan 13, 2025 6:33 am

The Milwaukee Bucks lost 140-106 to the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.

The Bucks are now 0-8 against the top three teams in the East.

"We've gotta get our stuff together. It's as simple as that. We did not beat Boston. We did not beat the Cavs. We didn't beat the Knicks. Those are the top three teams, and we've played horribly against them," said Giannis Antetokounmpo after the game.

Antetokounmpo finished with 24 points and 13 rebounds in the loss.

Damian Lillard said that the results against the top three could turn come playoff time.

"One year in Portland, we got our asses whupped every [regular-season] game by OKC. Then in the playoffs, we whupped their ass. So no; we haven't beaten the top teams. But we also have to key in, look at why, figure out the context and move forward," said Lillard.

The Bucks are now 20-17 on the season.

It's funny because they can't beat the top 3 teams in the East and the Knicks -- at this moment -- are very questionable against the top2 teams in the East (and they did get their arses handed to them by OKC).

Yes, but OKC might be one of the best two teams in the league.

No amount of introspection is going to increase their depth or fix Middleton's ankles. It will take a trade or two, and I don't see difference making trade available to them.

If I am Giannis I ask out now behind the scenes. MIL just does not have it anymore. They are lacking the firepower to compete with the beasts of the league. OR he can stay and lose in the 2nd round this and maybe the 1st round the following season.

It will probably be the 1st round this season... but why should take his ball and go home? MIL is still a good team. People used to want to be a winner, now they want to join a winner. Strange times we live in!

Trade for Boucher (before he destroys Toronto's tank all by himself). Look at his stats the last four games.
