Nothing Close With Bradley Beal Trade Involving Suns, Heat

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Jan 16, 2025 1:40 pm

Bradley Beal's name continues to be brought up in possible trades that would get Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat to the Phoenix Suns. Beal would have to approve a trade to Miami, or a third team, because he has a full no-trade clause. As he did recently, Beal's agent Mark Bartelstein reiterated where his client's focus is.

"Brad’s complete focus is on helping the Suns win, and getting their season turned around," Bartelstein, who made similar comments to ESPN for a story on Jan. 8, said by phone to The Athletic. "Everything else put out there is nonsense."

Bartelstein also made it clear that no trade is close that involves Beal, the Suns and the Heat.

The Suns remain Butler's preferred landing spot. However, a trade to Phoenix remains complicated due to Beal's no-trade clause and trade restrictions that the Suns are working under as a second apron team.

The more I think about it, the more I think MIA should do this... for a myriad of reasons.
I would also like to see Pat pull a Pop and send Jimmy to TOR out of spite, even for lesser return.

If there is any guy who would do something like that, it's Riley.

Absolutely. If he thought he could break even by sending him to WAS, consider it done. How about Jimmy for Kuzma and Brogdon, straight up?

Do what? It's up to Beal, not Miami, Butler or Phoenix. Until he wants to leave, nothing else matters.

I want Jimmy to go to Milwaukee already

I think he was talking about Pat sending Jimmy to TOR... That has nothing to do with Beal.

As far as Beal is concerned, nobody has asked him but my guess is that he already has his snorkel packed. Why would he want to stay where he isn't wanted or appreciated, especially when PHX is a tire fire at the moment?
