Bradley Beal Won't Waive No-Trade Clause For Bulls

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Jan 28, 2025 2:52 am

Bradley Beal will not waive his no-trade clause for a trade to the Chicago Bulls, a source tell The Athletic. The Bulls have reportedly held some level of dialogue with the Phoenix Suns on a trade for Beal as part of a larger Jimmy Butler deal.

Beal would reportedly waive his no-trade clause if presented with the right opportunity. Beal prioritizes a winning team, but cold-weather cities are less attractive to him. Beal moved his wife and two sons full time to Phoenix before the current season.

Beal has $160 million remaining on his contract over the next three years (including this season). Beal also has a no-trade clause he doesn't plan to give up as a condition of a trade.

I feel confident in saying we may never see another “no trade clause” in an NBA contract.

I'm guessing it's more about Reinsdorf

At least Ishbia's "goal" is to win, even if he's terrible at NBA cap mechanics and roster building.

Reinsdorf has openly stated that the goal is to keep the team "roughly in the mix" and that "the idea of hope sells tickets"

Well, I wouldn't reloacte my family to a cold place either if I have the power to influence on where I'm going on a scale as Beal does. Not his fault someone agreed to the NTC.

Bulls fans everywhere breathing a sigh of relief that our clown GM is protected from himself.

I don't blame Beal for not wanting to get traded here either, I think the weather is just an excuse though, he just doesn't want to say "those dudes suck ass".
