Doug Christie Has 'Strong Chance' Of Remaining Head Coach Of Kings

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Mar 7, 2025 6:03 pm

Doug Christie has a "strong chance" of remaining as head coach of the Sacramento Kings this offseason if they continue their current trajectory, sources tell The Athletic. Christie was elevated to interim head coach in December when the Kings fired Mike Brown. The Kings have yet to make a decision either way.

Since Christie became interim head coach, the Kings are 11th in the NBA in net rating. The Kings were 13th in the NBA in the category before the coaching change.

Christie is the 13th head coach since Rick Adelman exited the franchise in 2006.

Give it to him now, can move to 20-11 with a win over SA tonight, way better than Brown's 13-18 start in the same 31 game sample.
