Draymond Green Attempted To Clarify Comments About Karl-Anthony Towns Missing Game

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Mar 7, 2025 1:56 pm

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green attempted to clarify and walk back his comments about why Karl-Anthony Towns missed a recent game against the Warriors. Green had previously said on his podcast that Towns missed the game because the Knicks were playing against Jimmy Butler and the Warriors.

"Some would say (Towns) didn't play because Jimmy was in the building," Green said in the podcast he does with Baron Davis. "They say KAT didn't play because Jimmy came into town, and you know him and Jimmy had the infamous practice in Minnesota."

Towns missed the game due to personal reasons. It later came out that it was due to the death of a close family friend.

"This is one of those moments where I had to be there for my family and be there for the kids that lost somebody really special to them," Towns said.

When informed, Green sent well wishes to Towns, while attempting to clarify what he said about the Knicks All-Star missing the game vs the Warriors.

"That's unfortunate, I'm sorry to hear that. That sucks," Green said. "But my comments that I made were, you know, 'People, what I heard was this.' That's what I heard. So I do send my well wishes to him and his family.

"It's inevitable, we all experience death in one way or another, and we'll all experience it in the same way one day. So it's unfortunate, you never wish that on anybody, but 'The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis' must go on."

Green is everything that young people should not look to on and off the court.

Sometimes you just gotta know when to STFU in life. It is an important skill that Dray unfortunately never learned. I wonder how his romantic relationship is.

Because it's more important to make an outlandish statement and try to go viral than get the facts. Clown apology

I bet those "people" Draymond heard it from were named Butler and Jimmy.

i used to like steph and klay even before the 1st chip but havent been able to watch any warriors RS games past few yrs because of Greens trash play/behavior.

Should the young people be soft puss instead of a four-time champion? LOL. You hate him when he's not on your team, but true fans know you need a tough-minded guy like that for any real winners. Curry wouldn't be this greatest shooter ever without Green.

A president of what?
Country, you mean?
If it is so, yes, I know that. He is a corrupted member of the political mafia that controls the UE.
