Dillon Brooks received his 16th technical foul of the season after kicking out at Collin Sexton during the Houston Rockets' 143-105 win over the Utah Jazz.
Brooks is now facing a one-game suspension.
"I don't think it was an intentional kick," said Ime Udoka. "But it's not always the case they rescind based on that."
The Rockets expect to find out if the technical if upheld on Thursday.
The Rockets play the Thunder on Friday.
