Kings, Monte McNair Mutually Parting Ways

The Sacramento Kings and general manager Monte McNair are mutually parting ways, sources told Shams Charania of ESPN.

McNair had been in the role for five seasons and won NBA executive of the year in 2023.

The Kings lost to the Mavs in the play-in game on Wednesday night, ending their season.

Tough break. They way they played was specifically tailored to beat the Dubs, and didn't work all that great against other top teams. Still a successful run all in all.

But it does show just how hard it is to win with a non-defender at C. They ought to be selling as high as possible on Sabonis this offseason.
