Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Apr 23, 2025 5:37 am

The Atlanta Hawks are expected to pursue Elton Brand as one of the candidates to fill the team's President of Basketball Operations position, according to Marc Stein and Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.

Brand is currently the general manager of the Sixers.

The Hawks recently fired Landry Fields and hired Onsi Saleh as general manager.

Sportsology Group will direct the process of hiring a new President of Basketball Operations.

Elton Brand seems like a great guy, very professional. But what is his credentials to have this position? What did he did in Philly to make him qualified?

He’s one of the few Duke guys I like, but this makes no sense. He made great deals on the margins after inheriting Colangelo’s mess, built a juggernaut in his first six months that barely lost to Toronto, then destroyed it all by signing or extending five or six different PF/C during the 2019 offseason instead of paying Jimmy Butler and JJ Redick.
