Suns Promote Brian Gregory To General Manager

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu May 1, 2025 7:25 pm

The Phoenix Suns are promoting Brian Gregory to general manager. Gregory will be in charge of basketball operations for the franchise to replace James Jones.

Jones has been general manager of the Suns since 2019 and will transition to a role as senior advisor for the team.

The Suns hired Gregory as vice president of player programming in June 2024. Gregory was an assistant coach for Michigan State during Mat Ishbia's collegiate career. Gregory went onto become head coach at Dayton, Georgia Tech and South Florida.

The Suns are a mess. They have an idiot owner. How about signing ex MSU assistant Dewayne Stephens has assistant GM :banghead:

So... replacing one yes man with another, except this is a closer connection because of MSU.

Gotcha. :nonono:

Gregory: "Hey Matt, how do you want me to fix this mess?"
Ishbia: "Sorry Bri, that buck has already been passed."
